John Nix

AGC Board Member

Through nearly two decades of serving on the AGC board, John has developed long-term connections with many teachers, parents, and other board members. The majority of John’s extended family have spent their careers in education, serving all levels from elementary to graduate schools. John firmly believes that high quality education is essential for historically underserved communities to prosper. For John, AGC has offered a particularly rewarding and impactful way for volunteer service to help improve the education for students. 

John Nix is Founder and CEO of Vobal Technologies, LLC, and has been an entrepreneur in the telecommunications/Internet field for the past 25 years. John is an inventor on over 75 U.S. and 15 international patents. Vobal is the leading provider of cell towers to U.S. based container ships, for monitoring food supply imports and exports in refrigerated containers. Previously, John founded Go2Call, which was ranked the 22nd fastest growing technology company in North America over a five year period. He also received the “Best Bosses” award from Fortune Small Business Magazine. John is a founding board member.
