Tavaris West is a proud alumnus of the Academy for Global Citizenship’s founding class, where he spent eight formative years cultivating a love of learning and leadership rooted in the International Baccalaureate values of inquiry, reflection, and global citizenship. He carried these principles forward to earn an academic scholarship to Marist Catholic High School, where he graduated with a 4.92 GPA and competed as a three-sport athlete in track, rugby, and football.

Tavaris went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Howard University, where he maintained a 3.7 GPA and served as the founding Vice President of the university’s rugby team. Today, he works as an Elite Trader, Customer Service Representative at E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley, supporting clients with strategic financial planning and investment guidance.

Deeply connected to his roots, Tavaris is passionate about creating pathways of opportunity for others and giving back to the communities that shaped him. He brings strong financial acumen, a deep commitment to equity, and a personal journey that reflects the lasting impact of AGC’s mission in action.
