Cristal Coleman

Cristal is a multilingual educator, screenwriter, and poet from Chicago–though she considers herself to be from all the places she has lived before. Cristal received a B.A. in English Literature and Theatre with a concentration in Sociology from Grinnell College. Cristal earned her MFA in Dramatic Writing and Film at The Savannah College of Art and Design. Some hobbies of hers include reading, world travel, family time, and participating in women's sports. In 2022, Cristal’s inaugural book of poetry was published by World Stage Press (Los Angeles); it is entitled, “A Door Sometimes Slams: Lyrics and Prose Poetry.”

She has visited over 25 countries, and she wants the next one to be Brazil or Portugal.
