Emmanuel Silva

Spanish and Art Teacher

Emmanuel was born and raised in Back of the Yards & Brighton Park in the City of Chicago. He attended Chicago Public Schools, and decided to expand his passion about the arts in college. While at UIC he took an opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. While there he focused on studying the work of the masters of the renaissance. While in Europe, he got to travel backpacking across Western Europe. His love for the arts derives from his admiration of his Mexican culture and roots. Manny, as everyone calls him, inspires students to be true to who they are on a daily basis.
