Kemi Fatade

Community Programs & Partnership Coordinator

Olukemi "Kemi" Fatade is originally from Atlanta, where she was raised by her Nigerian parents who always encouraged her to be culturally informed and pursue academic excellence. Thankfully, she was born a zealous learner who absorbed everything both in and outside of the classroom. Before being recruited by Teach For America to teach 6th grade World Cultures in San Antonio, TX, Kemi devoted her studies to learning political science, public policy, and the Spanish language. While in undergrad, she had the honor of serving her community as an intern for the YWCA of Greater Charleston and as the Chair of the college’s Honor Board. Her experience has taught her so much about the importance of mental well-being, genuine human connection, and collective action. She's thrilled to be in a role where she can continue to learn and contribute to community wellness.

B.A. Political Science from College of Charleston
