Kyri Sierra

Kyri's teaching career began at 18 years of age in Villarrica, Paraguay with English lessons for young children. She learned Spanish there and in Guatemala where she served as a Peace Corps Health Education volunteer for two years. Kyri continued teaching in New York City in a Dual Language school in the Dominican neighborhood of Inwood in Manhattan. Chicago has been a dynamic place to teach and she is an avid advocate for bilingual students.
