Maribel Muñoz

Maribel grew up in the Southwest side of Chicago. During her high school years, she enjoyed volunteering for Social Olympics and found her passion for special education. Throughout her time at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, she learned to navigate through spaces as a Latinx woman and how to uplift those around her. She loves spending time with her friends and family (especially her niece and nephews). She looks forward to advocating for and empowering her students to have the confidence in themselves to show all their skills.
