Sonia Galvez

Sonia is not only first-generation, but also the first in her family to graduate from college. Throughout her childhood, her parents instilled in her the values of: political activism, humility, and community work. Some of her favorite hobbies include: spending time with her family and dog, running, reading, trying new foods or restaurants, exploring forest trails, board and video games, and volunteering. Her personal philosophy is representation and inclusion matters in our society. Her educational approach is to honor diverse scholars while striving to provide more equitable educational opportunities and enriching experiences.
