Viviana Alvarez was born in Chicago and she was raised by her two hard working Mexican parents who she has always admired. Originally from Michoacan, Mexico, her parents stopped going to school to work and help support their siblings. Living in a ranch they had to work extremely hard to put food on the table. Seeing the land where they grew up and hearing the family stories has motivated Viviana to appreciate her roots and all that she has.
Viviana is the mother of six children —many of them current and one former AGC student— and one of her goals is to continue to be able to go back to Mexico, so her own children appreciate their culture and the beauty of Mexico. She has always enjoyed nature and she wants to transmit that love to her children and students. Since day one AGC has had a significant impact on her family's life, and Viviana feels honored to be a part of AGC’s founding Early Childhood team. AGCs mission and beliefs are what what she has always looked for in a school, after more than 13 years of experience working in Early Childhood programs.
