Bryan Soto

AGC Board Member

Bryan was born in Mexico City and was proudly raised on the Southwest Side of Chicago in the Little Village neighborhood. A product of Whitney Young H.S., he graduated from The University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health and an Urban Planning minor. After a couple of years working in the Cicero public school district, Bryan was fortunate enough to find out about AGC where he quickly fell in love with everything the school represented. Teaching Health & Wellness at AGC has been a transformative experience not only for his students, but for his own life and personal practices. With a decade under his belt as part of the AGC family, he could not be happier. Bryan feels very fortunate for having found this school and is proud to be a part of the work we do here.

Bryan is the proud parent of two young boys and is excited for them to attend AGC. He works tirelessly everyday to help create the healthier, happier, community and world that he wishes his two boys to grow up in. To create this world, he focuses his energy on teaching students about the importance of eating well and using it as a means to show self care and a balance within our world. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and trying new recipes that he can bring to the classroom teaching space. He loves birdwatching and tree/plant identification and learning more about the wonders of the world and all the ways in which our planet provides.
