Leek Deng is excited to support the AGC community and a mission that reflects his belief that education and community thrive when we are open to new ideas and willing to think differently. Born in South Sudan, he moved to the United States at thirteen as a refugee and still remembers how much caring teachers and supportive classrooms shaped his sense of possibility.
He currently serves as the Director of Partnerships at Credo AI, where he helps organizations use new technologies responsibly while always prioritizing people. Before entering the technology field, Leek spent his career in international development and finance. He served as a political appointee at the Agency for International Development in the Obama Administration in Washington, D.C., and later worked as a healthcare investment banker at Goldman Sachs in New York City.
In his professional and community roles, Leek aims to build partnerships that expand opportunities and bring various voices to the table. In his free time, he enjoys running along the Chicago lakefront and making pancakes with his kids on Saturdays.
