Jennifer Polk is an experienced digital leader skilled at guiding businesses and brands to define and execute digital marketing strategies that transform the way they engage across key stakeholder groups. She is passionate about using data-driven insight and collaboration to shape and deliver experiences that align the objectives of the company and its stakeholders to differentiate the organization and achieve its goals.
Ms. Polk was recently named Chief Marketing and Digital Experience Officer (CMXO) of Feeding America. In this capacity, she leads brand strategy, strategic marketing planning and execution, and audience activation, with a focus on raising awareness of the issue of hunger, ensuring an inclusive perspective, engaging targeted audiences and reaching fundraising objectives.
Ms. Polk previously held multiple leadership roles at Gartner, Inc., a global research and advisory firm, serving as Managing Vice President of its Technology and Service Provider Group, Chief of Research and Vice President of its Marketing and Communications Group. During her tenure, she led a team of analysts; oversaw events; spearheaded research optimization, product launch and restructuring; and led research digital commerce and personalization.
Prior to joining Gartner, Ms. Polk served as Vice President of Digital Marketing and Client Services at Edelman Digital, a digital marketing agency, delivering strategies and campaigns for Darden Restaurants, Burger King, SC Johnson & Son, Inc., The True Value Company, McCormick Foundation and By The Hand Club. Previously, Ms. Polk served as Director of Social Media and led social marketing strategy for Sears Holdings Corporation.
Ms. Polk’s past board experience includes service on the Board of Directors of the Tyler Volenec Foundation, a non-profit organization providing financial assistance to families of children battling pediatric cancer. She also served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer of the Quad County African American Chamber of Commerce, a non-profit committed to the growth of minority-owned businesses. Ms. Polk is passionate about causes that benefit underserved communities, specifically women’s issues, hunger, social injustice, economic and racial disparity, volunteering with Chicago Innovation Women’s Mentoring Co-Op.
