Yareli Carrera

Originally from Oregon, she moved to Chicago in 2024 to pursue her masters degree and fulfill a goal of hers to live and experience life in a different state. Similar to how her parents moved for need, she moved for growth. She enjoys connecting with others and being a listening ear because its the smallest act of kindness she can ensure she pours into the world. She has experience working across the age span of a child, working as a youth engagement specialist in high school, a trauma informed specialist at an after school center, and as a youth and family therapist. Aside from work, she enjoys staying active, running, reading, attending sporting events, and exploring new coffee shops.
