Board Member
Judy is the Head of External Affairs at Siemens.
Based in Chicago, Judy leads regional teams of business development managers, engineers and product experts to create business development, legislative and crisis management strategies. Her strategies are cross-sector, spanning energy, transportation, buildings, water/wastewater, Internet of Things (IoT), resiliency and sustainability. Prior to this role, Judy spent seven years at Siemens driving it’s Smart City Business Development strategy in the Midwest winning projects ranging from helping cities and utilities plan for electric vehicles; to reimagining the passenger experience in airports; to using data and predictive analytics to help wastewater plant managers optimize energy consumption.
Judy is a Siemens certified Key Account Manager and within her 1st year at Siemens Judy was awarded the Siemens Top 25 award for Regional Account management.
Judy holds a Juris Doctor degree from Chicago Kent College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She spent 16 years as a public servant working as a criminal prosecutor in the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and in high-ranking roles in the City of Chicago and Chicago Park District, including state and local lobbying and managing the City of Chicago’s Procurement and Facilities Department’s before joining Siemens.
Having been born on Chicago’s Southwest Side, Judy is passionate about serving as a role model for Latino students, empowering women, and eliminating racism. As a Board Member, she is a role model, empowering Latino students to be authentic and focus on their personal value to fulfill AGC’s mission of igniting a movement for a better world.
She also serves as Board Member of the YWCA Metropolitan Chicago which is dedicated to empowering women and eliminating racism by providing support to all women along various stages of their journeys.
